Niagara Legacy-Alumni of Distinction
Recipients of Niagara's prestigious Legacy Awards have demonstrated outstanding accomplishments and excellence in their field of endeavor, have lived lives both personally and professionally that mirror the Vincentian ideals of NU, and have affected a positive and lasting impact to the betterment of society. The inaugural class was inducted into our "Niagara Legacy-Alumni of Distinction" in the fall of 2007.

Alumni Award
The Alumni Award is presented annually to an alumnus/a in recognition of outstanding service and devotion to Niagara University and its alumni. The Alumni Award is handed out at the Alumni Dinner-Dance during Alumni Weekend.

Dunleavy Award
The Dunleavy Award is presented at the Sunday morning Alumni Memorial Mass at Alumni Weekend. The board of trustees of Niagara University instituted the Dunleavy Award in 1983 to honor Francis J.,'41 and Albina Dunleavy. This honor is awarded to those individuals who, like the Dunleavys, exhibit extraordinary successes in their field of endeavor, embody those values representative of the mission of Niagara, and serve the university with distinction and loyalty.

Deans' Awards
The Deans' Awards are awarded annually at Alumni Weekend and recognize alumni who have distinguished themselves in their careers and advanced the mission of the college through their service.

Nursing Alumni Council Awards
The Niagara University Nursing Alumni Council annually bestows awards to distinguished alumni at Alumni Weekend. These awards recognize Community Service, Clinical Excellence, Academics, Research, and Leadership.
