What is SLAM?
SLAM or Students Leaving A Mark, is a new and exciting tradition that Niagara University has begun. The Senior Class of 2010 and the Office of Annual Giving have teamed up to educate seniors about the importance of giving back to their university, no matter the amount.
Students Helping Students. It's that simple.
What You May be Thinking and Why You Should Still Leave Your Mark:
"I already pay a fortune to go here; I am not going to give the university even more."
"I'm going to be paying off Niagara University loans for the next twenty years; they don't need more of my money."
Yes, the tuition at Niagara can be costly, but Niagara does not profit from your tuition. Only 2/3 of your tuition covers your expenses. The rest is given by private donors or gifts.
"How do I benefit?"
Your gift will increase our donor participation, which will enable Niagara to achieve a higher national ranking.
That higher ranking will increase the value of your degree!
In additon, Niagara will be able to attract more
corporate and foundation gifts.
"How exactly will my gift be used?"
Your gift will directly support scholarships for current
and future Niagara University students!
"I didn't know I could give to the school. I also did not know that I could give any amount and still know I am making a difference."
Well you can...Your gift, no matter the amount, will impact both current and future students. If 300 seniors gave a gift of $5, we would raise $1500 which would directly benefit your peers!
The feeling of giving back to your university and its students will be one you never forget.
Small Gifts. Immeasurable Effects.
